Dr. Nayan K. Kothari, MD, MACP, FRCP (Edin), is a highly respected physician, academic leader, and medical educator with over six decades of service in internal medicine, rheumatology, and clinical teaching. Currently serving as Chief Academic Officer at Saint Peter’s University Hospital and Clinical Professor of Medicine at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, Dr. Kothari has dedicated his career to shaping future generations of physicians while contributing significantly to medical education, research, and patient care worldwide.
Educational Background
Dr. Nayan K. Kothari earned his medical degree (MBBS) from Bangalore Medical College, India, one of the country’s leading medical schools. After relocating to the United States, he completed his residency in Internal Medicine and pursued specialized training in Rheumatology. Over the course of his career, he has combined this rigorous clinical training with a strong dedication to medical education and academic leadership, shaping both his practice and his role as a mentor to medical students and physicians.
